Plough Shear Mixer consists of a horizontal cylindrical container with multiple plough shaped shovels mounted on the main shaft. Abster offers a wide range of capacities from 5 liters to 20000 liters in all material grades.
Design Highlights:
- The feed is subjected to a whirling, three-dimensional product movement.
- Mixing elements are specially designed to lift the material from the inside wall of the container without squashing the particles against the wall.
- High-speed choppers (optional) installed to disperse agglomerations and control granulation during the mixing process in co-ordination with the mixing elements.

Description

The position of the high speed choppers is set at a downward angle of 45 degrees (barrel side) of the plough shear mixer and the chopper heads stretch into the barrel. While mixing, materials are brought to the effective range of the chopper and sheared at high speed.
Sloping blades or plough blades are set on single shaft. When plough mixer is operating, the material is continuously mixed by the special structure. The dead corner is avoided with radial and longitudinal movement simultaneously, hence highly accurate mixing is achieved.
